About the hub

The Chamber of Economy of Montenegro has established the Circular Economy HUB as a unique focal point for circular initiatives and solutions. The HUB aims to be a center of knowledge and expertise for the exchange of lessons learned, access to domestic and international circular practices and experiences, as well as current activities and events related to the circular economy.

The CE HUB is an open information platform for data dissemination, promoting efficient resource utilization through circular value systems to enhance the economic sustainability and resilience of the national economy.

The transition from a linear to a circular economy is a multilayered, long-term and cross-sectoral process. By signing the Sofia Declaration, Western Balkan countries committed to enhancing policies and support programs for the green economy in response to the growing challenges in the realms of social, economic, and climate change. The circular economy has been recognized as an important tool for green transition and represents an economic narrative grounded in sustainable consumption and production.

Following green criteria guided by a sustainable approach, Montenegro, through the Roadmap for Montenegro's Circular Economy, has defined potential priority sectors for implementing activities in the field of circular transition.
Achieving circularity is a complex goal that requires the integration of different disciplines and collaboration among various value chains and relevant stakeholders. Intensifying cooperation and networking among all interested parties, strengthening public-private dialogue, are key drivers of the transition towards a circular economy based on national specificities, potentials, and priorities.
