Circular food systems aim to create a sustainable and efficient food network that minimizes waste, promotes sustainable agriculture, and supports local food production.
Emphasis is given on the renewable nature of resources - instead of relying on monocultures, overfishing, and intensive agricultural practices, regenerative systems that promote biodiversity and organic food production are promoted. Packaging is designed to be circular or biodegradable, while circular value chains are developed through the valorization of food and other organic waste.
